Here are more details what I suggest to change and why. br_FR: "June" in Breton is "Mezheven" but the abbreviated form says "Eve ". CLDR [2] says "Mezh.". This is not a direct import from CLDR. The original author of Breton locale data seems to have applied these convention to the abbreviated month names: all items must be 4 characters long; if there are shorter then add trailing spaces; no trailing dots; all items start with the uppercase. Trying to keep these conventions I have decided to reword it to "Mezh". fy_NL: Both March and May are abbreviated as "Maa" which is obviously a bug. CLDR [3] says it should be "Mrt" and "Mai", respectively. lg_UG: I reworded abbreviated June "Jun" to "Juu", according to CLDR. [4] Ironically, the comment in the locale data file says "Juu". ln_CD: Simply an import from CLDR [5] although the old values ""sánzá1." ... "sánzá12." also look reasonable to me. mn_MN: Again, an import from CLDR [6]. The old values ("Хул", "Үхэ",...) no longer seem to be the abbreviations of the new full month names ("Нэгдүгээр сар", "Хоёрдугаар сар",...) vi_VN: Minor change, formats like "Th01" reworded to "Thg 1" (and so on) only to match CLDR. [7] Note that these are abbreviated standalone month names, we don't yet support formatting forms. yo_NG: This updates abday, day, abmon, and d_t_fmt. The story is: after the last update all full month names already start with "Oṣù" so there is no reason to use "oṣù %B" in d_t_fmt because it will generate the same prefix twice. Abbreviated month names in Yoruba in CLDR [8] don't have this prefix so it is more reasonable to use "oṣù %b" but requires the import of abbreviated month names. Which is also reasonable because these names were provided English. Similarly, it is reasonable to import from CLDR week day names which in the full form start with "Ọjọ́ " and in the abbreviated form don't have this prefix, and use "ọjọ́ %a" in d_t_fmt instead of "ọjọ́ %A" which would generate the prefix twice. Mostly, the new contents of abday is the old contents of day with minor changes, and the new content of day is the old one with "Ọjọ́ " prepended. zu_ZA: Again, a simple import from CLDR [9] to match the full month names. The patch also fixes the comments for month names to match the actual content.
